Maps Terms of Use

Updated October 11, 2026.

CloudJoe Locations displays your browser's location and location records you choose to save. OpenStreetMap is the default map provider. Google Maps is available only when configured by the service operator and selected as the map provider.

Map providers

Use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the current Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference. Google Maps attribution and controls remain visible. CloudJoe does not store or export Google's map tiles, imagery, or other map content.

OpenStreetMap data is credited to OpenStreetMap contributors. The map displays provider attribution. Map tiles are subject to the OpenStreetMap tile usage policy.

Your saved locations

GPS records come from your device through the browser's location permission, independently of the map provider. You can delete saved records, share the latest saved point or history with an accepted CloudJoe friend, and revoke a share. A history share includes future saved points; a current-location share follows your latest saved point. Revocation stops further access through CloudJoe, but cannot remove copies a recipient already saved.

Location accuracy varies. Pins and lines are displays of recorded points and do not establish a continuously tracked travel route. Automatic recording runs only while the app is visible, requires you to enable it, and stops on logout or page closure.

Read the Maps Privacy Policy for information about saved data and third-party map requests.
